Tag Archives: children’s mystery books

I received the draft of the new cover this morning – here it is alongside the two older versions – would you help me out by voting for the one you like best?

I’m aiming for a look that indicates the book is;

a) a mystery
b) is about a red-haired girl about ten years old
c) is suitable for readers ages 8 – 11 years old
d) takes place on the coast
e) has something to do with treasure; and
f) grabs your attention (or at least that of the young reader 🙂

Thanks a bunch!

Bryn Morgan And The Mystery Of Sinclair Cove Book Cover

Bryn Morgan and the Mystery of Sinclair Cove, the first book in my new series featuring ten year old Bryn Morgan.

Plucky, red-haired Bryn and her famous archaeologist mother, Professor Elen Morgan have recently relocated to beautiful Prince Edward Island on eastern coast of Canada to make a fresh start after the untimely demise of Bryn’s father.

Elen and her stellar team of fourth year archaeology students from UPEI’s School of Anthropology are just getting set to launch a major dig. They are hoping to find proof that Templar Knights visited PEI in the early 1700’s.

Joining the group for the weekend, Bryn soon gets bored with the tedium of setting up the dig and sets off on her own dig.

And that’s when things get really crazy…
